Korean red ginseng (Panax ginseng) is a root grown for a full 6 years, then steamed and dried — a traditional process that turns it deep red and concentrates its active compounds, called ginsenosides. Koreans have treasured it for centuries as a daily tonic for energy, immunity and overall wellbeing.
Jeongokgo is fermented red ginseng. Traditional fermentation breaks ginsenosides down into smaller molecules, so the body absorbs the active compounds far more efficiently than ordinary red ginseng — more benefit from every dose.
